Complete matched heat pump system: outdoor heat pump condenser plus indoor air handler. Heats and cools from one outdoor unit. Budget-tier value pricing.

Key Features

This complete Everwell heat pump split system pairs a 3.5 ton top-discharge R-454B condensing unit with a multi-position air handler, delivering 40,000 BTU of cooling and heating capacity at 14.3 SEER2 efficiency on 208–230V single-phase power. The matched system is AHRI Certified and ETL Listed.

  • Pre-charged condenser with R-454B — next-generation A2L refrigerant with lower operating pressures and reduced environmental impact compared to R-410A.
  • Top-discharge condensing unit — vertical airflow design with all-copper coil, GoldFin corrosion-resistant coating, and high-performance scroll compressor.
  • A2L-safe air handler — built-in refrigerant leak sensor automatically shuts down the system and clears vents if a leak is detected.
  • Multi-position installation — air handler supports upflow, downflow, or horizontal configurations.
  • All-copper coils — on both indoor and outdoor units for durability and efficient heat transfer.
  • Multi-speed ECM blower motor — (select models) for improved comfort and energy efficiency.
  • Heavy-duty cabinets — galvanized steel construction on both units with corrosion-resistant finish.
  • Quiet operation — as low as 65 dB at the outdoor unit.
  • Optional electric heat kit compatibility — from 5–20 kW for supplemental heating.

Common Questions

Is this a complete system?
Yes — outdoor heat pump plus indoor air handler. You'll still need a copper line set sized for your installation distance, electrical wiring, and a thermostat. Heat kit (recommended for cold climates) is sold separately.
How does a heat pump work?
A heat pump moves heat instead of generating it. In cooling mode, it pulls heat from inside your home and dumps it outside (same as an AC). In heating mode, a reversing valve flips the cycle — it pulls heat from outdoor air and delivers it inside. One outdoor unit, both seasons. More efficient than AC + electric heat in most climates.
Will it work in cold weather?
Heat pumps lose efficiency below about 40°F outdoor temperature. Below freezing, capacity drops noticeably. For climates that regularly see freezing temperatures, install an electric heat kit in the air handler for backup heat on the coldest days.
How does this compare to Goodman or Ace Air heat pumps?
Everwell is our budget-tier brand. Goodman and Ace Air offer more refined engineering and slightly better cold-weather performance. Everwell's strength is value — solid build, competitive warranty, lower price. Good for mild climates and budget-conscious projects.
