Everything — compressor, evaporator, condenser, blower, electric heat — lives inside one cabinet. No separate indoor/outdoor units, no refrigerant line set to run, no ductwork.

This is a heat pump PTAC, meaning it can both cool in summer and heat in winter by reversing the refrigerant cycle. In very cold weather, capacity drops and the unit's electric resistance heat strip provides supplemental heating. One unit, both seasons.

Does it heat as well as cool?

Do I need a wall sleeve?
Yes. PTACs install in a standard 42"-wide x 16"-tall metal wall sleeve cut into an exterior wall. If you're replacing an existing PTAC, the existing sleeve usually works (sleeve dimensions are standardized in the industry). For new installs, the sleeve is sold separately.
Why R-32?
R-32 is the next-generation refrigerant replacing R-410A. Lower global warming potential, slightly higher efficiency, and aligned with the EPA AIM Act phase-out timeline. R-32 is A2L-classified — handling and installation should follow EPA, ASHRAE, and local code safety standards.
How long is the warranty?
The Daizuki PTAC R-32 series carries a 5-year coil, 5-year parts, and 5-year compressor warranty — notably stronger than Daizuki's mini split coverage.
