Key Features

Why this system works

Complete Factory-Matched System

All three components — condenser, furnace, coil — are engineered and AHRI-certified to work together. You get the published 15.2 SEER2 / 80% AFUE efficiency ratings, correct refrigerant line sizing, and a single-source solution backed by one warranty.

Cooling + Natural Gas Heating

Year-round comfort. 3.0-ton cooling in summer, 80,000 BTU/h of natural gas heating in winter. The condenser cools, the furnace heats, the coil links them into one ducted system.

R-32 Refrigerant — Built for What's Next

R-32 is the new residential refrigerant standard replacing R-410A. Up to 10% more efficient. About 30% less charge per system. Meets today's EPA AIM Act rules.

Single-Stage Scroll Compressor

The outdoor condenser uses a proven single-stage scroll compressor — reliable, consistent cooling performance with smooth operation, high efficiency, and long service life.

Multi-Speed ECM Blower

The gas furnace uses an electronically commutated motor that matches airflow precisely to heating and cooling demand. ECM blowers use far less electricity than old PSC motors, especially during long low-speed operation.

Backed by Ace Air

10-Year Parts Limited Warranty (all components), 10-Year Compressor Limited Warranty (condenser), and Lifetime Heat Exchanger Limited Warranty (furnace) when registered within 60 days of install. Simple, documented, backed.

This complete gas-electric system pairs a 3.0 ton energy-efficient GLXS4B R-32 air conditioner condenser with a GR9S80 single-stage gas furnace producing 100,000 BTU at 80% AFUE, plus a matched CAPTA evaporator coil with factory-installed TXV. The system is rated at 15.2 SEER2 cooling efficiency as an AHRI-matched combination. The furnace supports upflow and horizontal installation and is backed by a 99-year heat exchanger limited warranty with product registration. AHRI Certified and ETL Listed.

  • Pre-charged R-32 condenser — factory-charged for 15 feet of line set to reduce installation time.
  • AHRI-matched at 15.2 SEER2 / 80% AFUE — rated as a complete system with the matched furnace and coil.
  • Heavy-duty aluminized-steel heat exchanger — dual-diameter tubular furnace design backed by a 99-year limited warranty.
  • Single-stage gas valve with hot-surface igniter — reliable on/off heating control with durable ignition.
  • Multi-speed ECM furnace blower — energy-efficient circulation with multiple airflow taps for system matching.
  • R-32 ready evaporator coil — all-aluminum CAPTA coil with factory-installed TXV and full-coil R-32 sensor.
  • Energy-efficient compressor — high-density foam compressor mounting with Advanced Copeland® scroll technology.
  • Copper tube / enhanced aluminum fin condenser coil — 5mm-diameter design improves heat transfer and reduces refrigerant volume.
  • Self-diagnostic furnace control board — stores fault history for easier troubleshooting during service.
  • Multi-position furnace installation — upflow or horizontal configurations supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in this kit?
Three components shipped together: (1) the outdoor condenser AAD-GLXS4BA3610A, (2) the indoor gas furnace AAD-GR9S801005CNA, and (3) the indoor evaporator coil AAD-CAPTA3626C3A. Line set (refrigerant tubing), thermostat, ductwork, condensate drain, gas line connections, and electrical wiring are NOT included — your HVAC contractor supplies those based on your home's install needs.
Why buy as a matched kit vs. separate components?
Matched systems are AHRI-certified to deliver their published SEER2 and AFUE ratings. Mix components from different model families and you'll often get lower real-world efficiency and hassles with warranty claims. The factory match also makes sure refrigerant line sizing, TXV calibration, and airflow are right from day one.
What does AHRI-certified mean?
AHRI (Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) independently tests and certifies matched HVAC system combinations. An AHRI certificate confirms that a specific condenser + coil + furnace combination hits the stated SEER2 and AFUE ratings under standardized test conditions. Utility rebates and tax credits often require AHRI-certified matched systems — your contractor can provide the certificate for this combination.
SEER2 vs. AFUE — what's the difference?
SEER2 measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers, lower summer electric bills. AFUE measures heating efficiency — what percentage of the gas you burn becomes usable heat. This system rates 15.2 SEER2 for cooling and 80% AFUE for heating. Both matter; they describe different sides of the system.
The title says "R-32" — does the gas furnace use refrigerant?
No. The gas furnace has no refrigerant inside — it burns natural gas to heat air. The "R-32" label applies to the cooling side: the outdoor condenser and indoor evaporator coil circulate R-32 between them during cooling. The furnace is "R-32 compatible" in that it's engineered to move air beneath an R-32 coil with correct airflow and A2L safety compliance.
What size home does this system cover?
A 3.0-ton system typically handles homes in the 1,500–2,000 sq. ft. range for cooling. Climate, insulation, window area, and home layout all change the math. On the heating side, 80,000 BTU/h output is typical for similar-sized homes. A professional Manual J load calculation is the right way to confirm sizing for your home.
Will this fit my existing ductwork?
Probably — most residential ductwork is designed for 2–5 ton systems. Your contractor will measure static pressure and verify your ducts can handle the airflow. In some cases ducts need resizing or rebalancing. This system uses a Cabinet C coil on a Cabinet C furnace for a clean stack.
Do I need to install all three components at once?
Best practice, yes. AHRI certification and the warranty apply to the matched system. Replace only one or two components and the published SEER2 rating no longer applies, and warranty coverage can be affected. Replacing all three at once also makes sure refrigerant line set sizing and control wiring work correctly.
How do I register the warranty?
Register each component separately at Ace Air's warranty page within 60 days of installation. You'll need the model number and serial number (from each data plate), install date, and installing contractor info for all three components. Miss the 60-day window and you drop to the shorter base warranty.
